Tasch is an Alpine village near the famous Zermatt.
It is a good alternative for staying overnight before reaching Zermatt to see
Matterhorn. Zermatt is a car-free town at the end of the valley. If you are
driving, you still need to make a stop in Tasch and get on a train shuttle.
What Tasch has to offer besides night accommodation
and shuttle train are picturesque Swiss chalets. It is an architectural style
that can be found outside Switzerland, but its beginnings are right here in the
Alpine areas of Switzerland, Savoy and Tyrol.
