Sognefjord - Norway's Longest and Deepest Fjord

Sognefjord is Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, and the second longest in the world. Its famous arm of the Naeroyfjord is UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fjord cruise passes beautiful villages of Aurland and Undredal before entering the Naeroyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in Europe. At its end, Laerdal features dramatic mountain tops, unique wooden houses in Laerdalsoyri, and Norway’s best preserved stave church in Borgund.

Borgund Stave Church built in 1181 is the best preserved stave church in Norway. The medieval bell tower is the only one of its kind in Norway.
